City Council Meet and Adjourn

Without Doing Much Business.

Councilman Haymond and Anthony were abent [sic] absent from the regular meeting of the city dads last evening. The Meeting was of short duration and nothing of importance came up. The city attorney presented an ordinance to compel people to clean the ice and snow from the sidewalks in front of their residences. This is a little late in the season, but the ordinance was passed nevertheless.

An ordinance regulating the time of meeting of the council and making it a half hour later than the present time of meeting, was presented and after the first reading was referred to the city at­torney.

An ordinance providing for the issue and sale of bonds in anticipation of the collection of assessments heretofore made by the council on account of diff­erent improvements made on streets was passed. This is the same ordinance that was brought up some time ago but owing to an error in one of the sections, was layed over until a correction was made.
