In the evening Miss Meriman assisted Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who received in the first parlor. Misses Cora Emerson, Maude Neely and Mamie Johnson were at the punch bowl, and Miss Alice Hamilton and Mrs. E. M. Mrs. Smith wore a gown of black green changable [sic] changeable silk, trimmed in black and white lace, and all the ladies were handsomely gowned.
