Republicans, Attention.

The McKinley Prosperity club, which is about to be organized, is a club organized of all classes of Republicans and of those people who believe in honest money and protection to all classes of industry and labor, and those who do not believe in the Democratic promises or wild and visionary theories, and who remember the false promises made by Democrats in the campaign of 1892, who are opposed to free trade and Democratic mismanagement of the government of the United States, and who are opposed to that relic of Democratic invention, “The Soup House,” and who are opposed to freeing the laboring man in the Democratic way; who are opposed to the placing of the people of the United States on a common level with Mexico, China and Japan in a financial way, and all of those who believe in an honest dollar worth 100 cents in the hands of the merchant, the farmer, the banker and the laborer throughout the world, and in paying the old heroes of 1861 and their widows, and children liberal and just pensions in dollars that are of full and equal value of any dollar in the world, and in paying the laborer, merchant and all classes in like money, and in a tariff that will protect, a tariff that will assure the American market to the American people, that will cause the smokestacks to smoke and the wheels to turn and employ the now idle laborers and mechanics all the time, and cause prosperity and happiness throughout the land.

The object and purpose of this club is to organize one giant central political club for the purpose of siding and assisting the county central committee in the important campaign that is now upon us. It is therefore important that those who have signed the paper agreeing to become members of said club, and those who are going to vote for McKinley and prosperity be they Democrats, Independents or of whatever political faith meet at the courthouse in the city of Muncie, on Tuesday evening, August 4 1896, at 7:40 p. m., for the purpose of organizing said club and electing officers therefor, and for all other purposes properly connected therewith. A partial list of those who have signed the role of the club is given below. It is of the highest importance that this meeting be well attended, and we therefore urge and invite all to attend. The workingmen's glee club, composed of laboring men employed in the Midland Steel and Indiana Iron mills will be present and render some splendid music.

THE M'KINLEY PROSPERITY CLUB.
