Regarding Nonunion Jars.

 

MUNCIE, IND., May 7. - At a regular meeting of Branch 12 held at Union Labor Hall, Sunday, May 6, the following delegates were elected to attend the G. B. B. A. convention July 9: William Conley, Joseph Cahill, and John Windish.

The business committee of the Greens and Flints will go to Anderson Sunday, May 13, to meet similar committees in conference to take some action in regard to the sales of nonunion made jars, also to formulate plans to govern machine made jars and bottles such as on prices and regulating of operating machines. The business committee will go in a body.

Local Union No. 23, of the A. F. G. W. U., at a meeting held Sunday, May 6, elected John Dodd, president; Joseph Elhott, vice president.

Ball Bros. are enlarging their office by a pretty new addition.

Frank Lafferty, candidate for councilman upon the workingman's ticket, was elected over his opponent, Mr. Porter, a Republican, by a handsome majority. Frank is a white liner presser and is employed at Ball Bros.

Con Canning, who ran in the First ward for councilman, was defeated. Con is an American Flint - WEST SIDE.
