GAVE A GERMAN.

A Beautiful Party Enjoyed in Bishop's

Hall Last Night.

Bishop's hall on South Walnut street last night was the scene of one of the loveliest select parties ever given in Muncie.

It was the occasion of a German arranged by the gentlemen present, assisted by Mrs. A. V. R Patton and Miss Joseph ins Gray, in honor of Miss Hinman of Columbus, O., who is the guest of Mrs. Patton. It was a full dress affair and the arrangements were perfect in every detail. The ladies were exquisitly [sic] exquisitely gowned, Miss Hinman wore a black satin skirt and black chiffon waste, cut low. The gentlemen were all in full dress.

In the lobby of the hall a capacious punch bowl proved a source of great refreshment during the entire evening. Coffee and sandwiches were served at a late hour.

Mesdames Ralph Hemingray and W. L. Little served the beautiful favors at one end of the hall near the cloak room, which was prepared for the occasion. Mr. A. V. R Patton and Miss Hinman led the German. There were 14 favor figures and six fancy dances, the music being rendered in a highly pleasing manner by Prof. Damm and his opera house orchestra. The following persons made up the party:

Messrs. and Mesdames Lewis Over, E. F. Tyler, A. V. R. Patton; Miss Hinman of Columbus, Misses Gray and Chittenden of Anderson, Miss Flint of Cleveland, Mrs. Hattie Johnston of Washington, Miss Nadine Wilson, Miss Huston, Miss Parker and Miss Hattie Johnson; J. O. Mellwraith of Anderson, O. H, Raymond, P. R. Janney, Edward Ganter, Edward Ball, Samuel Wilkinson and Homer E. Bowles.
