Pink was the prevailing color in the dining room, the shades embroideries and decorations all being of that color and the ices served we're likewise pink. The remainder of the house, excepting the coffee room, which was a cozy enclosure and bore the green and white colors, was decorated in green, palms ferns and smilax being used.

Mrs. Cromwell, assisted by Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. T. A. Neely received the guests in the front parlor. Mrs. Cromwell wore a pink crepe bodice, trimmed in embroidered chiffone and white lace and white silk organdie skirt, diamond ornaments. The bodice of Mrs. Johnson's costume was gray embroidered chiffon and cerns velvet with pearl trimmings and a dove Gray silk skirt. Mrs. F. O. Grannis and Mrs. Robert Hemingray received the guests in the second parlor. Mrs. Hemingray 's gown was black and white corded silk with black chintilla Lace and pearl and diamond ornaments.
