OVER A DIVORCE.
A Strong Fight Is Being Made In the
Circuit Court.
Yesterday in the circuit court, was heard the trial of the proceedings brought by Jacob Gillenwater to secure a divorce from his wife, Anna Gillenwater. The case will be continued today and many witnesses are being examined. Jacob claims that his life has been made so miserable by his wife that a divorce is necessary to his peace of mind. Mrs. Gillenwater is fighting the case. The parties are colored and have two children, for the custody of whom Jacob asks.
THE FIFTH THIS WEEK.
William H. Vail yesterday applied for a divorce from his wife, Annie Vail, alleging that on July 2 she committed adultery with one Thomas Jenkins. The parties have been married for five years.
