A DRY SESSION.
The City Councilmen Meet and Transact
Routine Business.
Remonstrances, Petitions and
Bills, and Then a Cheerful
Motion to Adjourn.
It was a dry session of the city council last night.
Gray presented a remonstrance, signed by residents against the improvement of the alley from Walnut to High, between Jackson and Adams streets. It was placed on file.
Peter Keely was authorized to construct a small sewer on High street between Washington and Main to be known as High Street Sewer No. 2.
Charles street residents want to know why that thoroughfare has never been widened, and the streets and alleys committee have again taken charge of the matter.
The elections committee will meet with the county commissioners to discuss the matter and fix voting places.
Zook, Kirby and Mitchell were appointed a committee to look after the "McKillip alley."
