FOR SEVERAL HOURS The Nail Mill, Stamp Works, A Few Glass Notes, Elwood Tin at the Stamp Mill and Other Notes Gathered Here and There by the Scribe Who Does not Intend to Slight any one. · · Miscellaneous · · The Hemingrays are building a new shed 108 x 40 feet. It is located 100 feet from the factory. Besides several other sheds are being constructed. · · Hemingray's Glass company do not propose to be caught up by fire if they can prevent it and to that purpose they are arranging a complete fire system about their works. This consists of two fire plugs, one located on the east and the other on the wes [sic] west side of their factory. Around these is being built sheds in which to keep the hose. This will be kept attached to the hydrant and coiled ready for any emergency. · · |
