There was quite a crowd in the Mayor's Court to listen to the cases. Ed. Jewett, a colored man, was araigned on a warrant charging him with an assault upon Wm. Rooney. His case was taken under advisement and continued till Wednesday, John Williams, for drunkeness, paid $4. W. Barkley paid the same for an assault upon an officer. He was in company with his brother Eleck yesterday, and both got drunk. Eleck, who is a painter in Cincinnati, also deposited $4. Oliver Smith and Robert Hemingray, two young men of aristocratic parentage, went on a jolly Sunday spree yesterday and made things lively on Madison street. They cleaned out several saloons and made a nuisance of themselves in general. They were let off on payment of $5 each.
