John McBreen of Hemingray saves boy from drowning

MR. JOHN MCBREEN, while standing in the second story of the glass-works yesterday, discovered a young boy struggling for life in the Ohio River. He jumped from the second-story window and rushed down to the river and jumped in and saved the little fellow just as he was sinking. Coroner DeGruyter will present him with a silver badge.
