GENERAL GLASS NEWS
OUTPUT OF WINDOW GLASS
AGAIN ON THE INCREASE.
NATIONAL GAINING GROUND
President Faulkner Gives List of the
Plants Now Manned by the
National Association.
Pittsburg Commoner and Glassworker: Affairs in the window glass world are now moving along more serenely as far as factory operations are concerned. Quite a number of additional pots have been placed in blast lately and several more factories are scheduled to start within the next week or two. A heavier production is being secured in the majority of plants and matters are getting down to a better working basis as a rule.
Glass is moving more freely at present and if the weather conditions become more settled many look for a revival, even though it be but temporary in character. Good weather will cause some display of activity in building operations and this will of course necessitate the placing of orders for window glass. Buying has been of the hand-to-mouth variety for some time, as few cared to stock up under existing conditions. However, a brisk demand will cause the doubters to loosen up somewhat and thus more stability will be given the market.
