THE stroke of the fire-bell yesterday was not an alarm of fire, but only an accident resulting from work going on at the Sixth-street Engine-house. There was a fire, however, some hours later, at the Hemingray Glass-house, but it was only a small shingle fire. No alarm was turned in, and the Glass Company extinguished the conflagration with their own extinguisher.
