Another Elegant Wedding.

Weddings, fashionable and otherwise, follow so fast upon one another that even the professional chronicler is at loss for court terms in which to give them publicity.

Last night the marriage of Miss Mary J. Eginton, daughter of Hon. Charles Eginton, to Mr. Raymond C. Gray, son of Colonel John Gray, all of Covington took place — a marriage whose prospect has long been the subject of interest in the world of fashion hereabouts, and of deeper and more genuine interest among the numerous kinsfolk and friends of the two families.

The ceremony was celebrated at the First Presbyterian Church, Covington, Rev. Dr. J. M. Worrall, Pastor, administering the matrimonial office, Prof. Louis Levassor presiding at the organ, and Messrs. Dr. W. A. Hall, Daniel Beard, Wm. K. Benton and Ralph Hemingray officiating with graceful elegance as attendants, it is superfluous to add that the ceremony was gracefully performed or that the music was artistically rendered.

The bridal couple entered, preceded by two and followed by two of the attendants, and our inartistic and unskilled eye noted a train dress of rich silk, of a color resembling the tea-rose, trimmed profusely and tastefully with point lace, a bridal veil and a coronal of flowers, which, whatever they were, were not orange blossom — a variation which may seem presumptuous, but is certainly pleasing to note as a variation. The lady looked lovely herself, and her dress was all loveliness. In the church was seated a large audience, and the most perfect good order prevailed — another pleasing variation to note.

The ceremony over, the bridal couple and their invited guests were soon in the elegant parlors of Mr. Eginton's pleasant home, and congratulations and acknowledgments genial and hearty occupied the early evening. Then came the march to supper, and the bounteous repast, so elegantly arranged by John Lehman, was soon a magnificent ruin. After supper the buzz of fashionable and friendly converse filled up an hour or more, good-bys were said, and the wedded pair took their departure for Chicago, where they will spend a few days and then return to their home in Covington.
