MICHAEL J. CLARKE, age 59 years, died at his home in Muncie, Indiana, Friday, October 25th. Surviving are three brothers, John H. Clarke, Pittsburgh; C. J. Clarke, Niles, Ohio; William P. Clarke, Toledo, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. J. M. O'Day, Muncie, Ind. Funeral services were conducted in St. Mark's Catholic Church and burial was in the cemetery at Muncie.

The deceased was well known in the glass industry, both Flint and Bottle, and held various managerial positions. At Toledo, Ohio, he held such a position with the Owens Bottle Company some years ago. At Wallaceburg, Canada, and at Redcliff, Alberta, he was in charge of the factory and in later years he managed the old Hemmingray [sic] Hemingray Factory at Muncie.

His brothers, all members or former members of the American Flint Glass Workers Union, are well-known in the glass trade, W. P. Clarke being the former president of the Flints' organization.
