[Special to The Indianapolis News.]

MUNCIE, Ind., August 17 — A romance resulting from the close friendship of his two daughters and the young woman, who is now his fiancee, will culminate in the fall in the marriage of Ralph G. Hemingray, president of the Hemingray Glass Manufacturing Company, which has factories in Muncie and Covington, Ky., and Miss Eva Hollinger, teacher of English in the Muncie High School. Although friends of the two have suspected the engagement, especially since the marriage of one of the Hemingray girls last spring interrupted the intimate companionship of the three young women, the announcement, nevertheless, comes as a surprise.

Miss Hollinger's home is really in Terre Haute, where her parents live, but for several years she has taught in the local high school, only spending her vacations at home. Miss Hemingray, her sister, who is now Mrs. Phillip McAbee, and Miss Hollinger have been almost inseparable friends for a number of years, and in social circles have been leaders. Mr. Hemingray is widely known socially, also, and is prominent throughout the State as a business man. He, with his brother Dan, own practically all the stock in the Hemingray company, and are reputed to be very wealthy.

The date of the wedding has not been set. It is understood the affair will be quiet and that the marriage will be celebrated at the home of Miss Hollinger's parents in Terre Haute.
