Lester Hiatt
Lester Hiatt 83. 3604 Burlington, a Muncie-area brick mason, died early today at Ball Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Muncie, attended city schools and spent his entire life in this area.

Mr. Hiatt was associated with Hiatt & Floyd Masonry Co. for several years prior to his retirement in 1965. Earlier, he was employed for several years with Hemmingray [sic] Hemingray Glass Co., later known as Owens-Illinois.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Brickmasons Union. Local 19.
Surviving are his wife, Florence; two sons. Robert E Hiatt Sr., and Donald L. Hiatt, both of Muncie; a stepson, Jerry Needier, Muncie; a sister. Evelyn Shane; three brothers, Charles and Donald, all of Muncie, and Earl Hiatt, Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p m. tomorrow. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the mortuary.
