Herron Rites

On Saturday

 

Cyrus Herron, 78, 1224 E. Me­morial, a former Muncie park superintendant [sic] superintendent, died Thursday at Maple Grove Nursing Home.

He formerly worked at the Hemmingray [sic] Hemingray Glass Co. and with the park department during the administrations of Mayors John C. Hampton and Joseph Barclay.

He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and was past grand patriarch of grand en­campment of the IOOF of In­diana.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Sechrest, with whome he made his home; one brother, William Herron, Long Beach, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary where services will be conducted at 11 a m. Saturday with Rev. C. Russell Moodey in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Members of the IOOF Lodge 74 will serve as pallbearers and will conduct a memorial service at 8:15 p.m. tonight at the mortuary.
