Miss Mary Laidley of East Second Street, Covington, made Sunday a very happy day for Miss Llewellyn Hemingray of Garrard Street, Covington, who has been ill at Holmes Hospital for several months and regaining her health, by presenting her with a huge cake, it being her birthday anniversary. She also invited a group of Miss Hemmingray's [sic] Hemingray's close friends to drop in during the afternoon and evening to extend birthday greetings and felicitations upon the continued improvement in her health.

For the last few years Miss Hemingray has brought together at her home a congenial group of intimate friends to celebrate her birthday anniversary, at which Mrs. William Hanson and Mr. Harry Brent Mackoy were special guests. They shared honors with her, their birthday anniversaries falling on the same day as her’s.

Miss Hemlingray’s brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip McAbee of Muncie, Ind., also visited her Sunday.
