ON THE TRACK Covington Man's Deliberate Attempt to Die In Front of Big Four Depot He Was Waiting for a Train to Cut Him in Two. Patrick Zeigler, late of Covington, Ky., who came here yesterday to work in the Hemingray Glass factory, would have been cut to pieces last night by a Big Four freight train in front of the depot had not Baggage Master Haslup drug the man from the track. Zeigler had deliberately laid down upon the track with his body across the rail, and a freight train was coming, when Hasslup noticed the man and dragged him from the track. Zeigler had deliberately laid down was jailed to sober up. He had a small amount of money in his pocket and a broken beer bottle when arrested. He claimed to have had no knowledge of what he had done and likely did not. |
