GOT THEIR WAGES IN GOLD. Four Manufacturing Companies Pay off in Yellow Coin. More gold coin is in circulation in this city than for months. Last Saturday was pay day for most of the large industries and all paid off in gold. Today was pay day with four of the large manufacturing concerns and they paid off in the yellow coin, adding quite a sum to the already large amount of gold distributed by the factories. The four were the J. H. Smith & Company, the Muncie Wheel company, the Hemingray Glass company, and the Midland Steel Company.
