Mrs. Perin Langdon's reception Friday was a thoroughly delightful and most en­joyable affair, given for her sister, Mrs. George Everett Halsey, of East Orange. N. J. The house was filled with exquisite roses, and the table and the dining room were most artistically arranged with clusters of pink and white sweet peas, with an immense placque of the fragrant blossoms in the center.

Mrs. Langdon looked exceedingly well in a handsome toilet of pale mauve and white taffeta, with garnitures of white lace — very becoming to her pure complexion.

Mrs. Halsey was radiantly beautiful in a French toilet of light gray crepon, with handsome corsage of white lace and chiffon.

Mrs. William T. Burton assisted in a de­licious summer toilet of white organdie, floriated the violets and violet ribbon at the throat and waist.

Mrs. H. F. West wore a half mourning toilet of black faille.

Mrs. John McC. Gibson wore a stylish toilet of black brocade with a corsage of light green chiffon.

Mrs. Daniel Hemingray wore a very becoming toilet of black moire, with corsage of light chiffon, trimmed in gold.

Mrs. Charles W. Baker wore a superb toilet of black mirror moire, the corsage elaborately trimmed in gold fringes.

Miss Martha Burton wore a perfect dream in a gown of white organdie, flowered in pink, with the daintiest pink chapeau.

Mrs. Oliver Perin wore a sumptuous toilet of mauve, veiled in black lace.

Mrs. Edward Mills was handsomely gowned in black and white cheek taffeta.

Mrs. Long wore a very becoming toilet of black and white check taffeta, with black and white collarette.

Mrs. Josiah Keck wore a beautiful toilet of black brocade.

Miss Blanche Goodhue was stylishly gowned in black moire, with big hat trimmed in garnet.

Mrs. William L. Dickson wore an ultra-chich toilet of black satin, with stylish corsage of plaid silk.

Miss Alice Wynne was very handsomely gowned in a Paris creation of blue and black brocade.

Mrs. George Ehrmann wore a becoming toilet of brown and ecru taffeta.

Miss Minnie Hipp was very sweet in black satin, with corsage of of light gray chiffon set off with pink.

Mrs. Lee Addison Ault wore a superb toilet of black satin, with yellow satin garnitures.

Mrs. John Sherlock wore a Paris gown of green taffeta.

Mrs. Frank Perin was exquisitely gowned in French gray.

Mrs. J. C. Gallagher wore a beautiful summer toilet of blue and white taffeta.

Mrs. Thomas B. Paxton wore a stylish creation of light gray brocade, the corsage trimmed in exquisite white lace.

Mrs. Von Steinwehr was very handsome in black satin, with brocaded corsage.

Mrs. George N. Stone wore a becoming toilet of light green and white.

Willson & Reeder served the collation.

Mrs. Langdon gives another reception Wednesday, May 29.
