Andersons Spleen.
There is some curiosity amongst the boomers to know what H. M. Hemmingray [sic] Hemingray, the Covington glass manufacturer, was doing in the city a few evenings ago. He came here unexpectedly on the 3:50 train in the afternoon and left a 9 o'clock at night. Just what his business was no one seems to know, but a man who is on to a few things stated he was not here for fun or his health. The Hemmingray's [sic] Hemingray's have put in a factory at Muncie, and have regretted it every day since, that they did not come to Anderson. Mr. Hemmingray [sic] Hemingray is a hustling, busy fellow, and Muncie is entirely too slow for him. His factory there is a small concern. Muncie paid him all it is worth, so he is not out anything by the investment there and is in good shape for putting up a good establishment somewhere else. — Anderson for instance. — Anderson Bulletin. |
