A valuable diamond pin was stolen yesterday from Mrs. Robert Hemingray. Officers Mike and Pat Bolan went to the house to see about it. When the commenced questioning Mary Cross, a colored girl, about the theft, she got into a terrible rage, and attempted to clean out the police with a poker, but the coppers got the best of her, and landed her in jail for disorderly conduct.
