TROUBLE AHEAD. -- No doubt Council understood the Hemingray proposal to letter the street lamps to be twenty cents per lamp. The proposal, however, reads: "We will take down, letter and replace the lights in the street-lamps at twenty cents per light." This makes it forty cents per lamp, if the Hemingray Company meant its language literally. The latter price per lamp is very unreasonable.
