Among the most extensive glass manufactories in the South are the works of the Hemingray Glass Company at Covington, Ky. The products include all kinds of hollow-ware, such as bottles of all sizes and colors, lamps, lamp chimneys, lamp and gas shades, demijohn, carboys, & c. A branch of the Hemingray company was opened in St. Louis, Mo., two years ago. The latter establishment constantly employees a force of about 350 workmen, whose combined product is an average of 360 tons of finished ware per month.
