ADDITION TO MACHINE
SHOP AT GAS [sic] GLASS PLANT
Factory Producing Insulators, Milk and Pop
Bottles — Other Bottles Coming Soon.
The construction of an additional machine shop was begun today at the plant of the Glass Insulator company on West Anaheim road by Contractor Marcus Campbell. The additional building will be 20x40 feet in ground dimensions and one story in height, and is being constructed to cover a new auxiliary compressing plant. The engines and compressor are already installed in place. The auxiliary compressing plant is desired for use in case of any trouble with the electrical current, as the glass factory's fires must be kept burning all the time.
The glass factory is doing an immense amount of business. In addition to the manufacture of glass insulators, the company is now also making milk bottles and soda pop bottles, and machines are now being made in which beer-bottles will be manufactured. The plant is equipped with such a complete machine shop that the machinery for making these various bottles can be made as required. The company ships its products far and wide.
