BOARD OF REVIEW HAS ADJOURNED Individuals and Corporations Are Told How Well Off They Are. AMERICAN SHEET STEEL, GREATEST Ball Brothers and Republic Company Come Next in Personal Property. The county board of review which for the past several days has been at work on the task of fixing valuations on the properly of firms, companies, corporations and individuals in Delaware county, has finished making assessments and adjourned. The board also heard objections on the work of the assessors and lowered or raised assessments according to the opinions of the members. It will be nearly two weeks before an aggregate will be obtainable of the property valuations in the county but the figures will reach several millions. The figures of the board show that the heaviest taxpayers in the county are the American Sheet Steel company, Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing company and the Republic Iron and Steel company. The personal property of these three firms aggregates over a half million dollars. These figures do not include factory buildings and realty. The personal property assessments of these three firms are: American Sheet Steel Co............................$197,370 Ball Brothers' Glass Manufacturing Co........177,295 Republic Iron and Steel Co...........................165,345 The assessments on realty of these and other concerns may change the relative standing of the firms named as the figures which follow include only the personal property of the firms and individuals. All firms whose personal property is not assessed at $3,000 or over are not included in this appended list. There are a large number of taxpayers of this kind. The board that compiled the assessments was composed of County Treasurer C. F. Koontz, County Assessor W. S. Stewart, County Auditor Monroe, ex-Treasurer D. A. Lambert and Ell Thornburg.
