HEMINGRAY'S GLOBE FRUIT JAR.

The globe fruit jar, manufactured by the Hemingray Glass Co., of Covington, Ky., is in good demand, having in its 12 years of existence fully established itself in the favor of housekeepers and consequently of the trade. Among the advantages it possesses are the following: The cap is of glass and the simplicity of the method by which it can be closed and opened is unequaled. The fruit comes in contact with nothing but glass. You can know whether or not the fruit is properly put up, before storing it away. As soon as the fruit is put in the jar, place the cap on the jar and apply the locking device at once. After the fruit is cold try the cap and see if it sticks; if it does, the jar is properly sealed. If the cap comes off, put the jar with the fruit, in hot water, and heat until all the hot air is expelled from the jar. Then put on the cap and apply the locking device. They are made in the usual sizes and those who try them once will keep using them.
