THE CHARITY EUCHRE.

 

About two hundred guests were present at the euchre party given in Franklin hall last night under the auspices of the Young Woman's auxiliary to the Free Kindergarten association. The card games began at 8:30 o'clock Miss Agnes Howe, president. assisted by the young women of the auxiliary, managed the playing. At 10 o'clock the last game was played. It was found that the first five prizes went to Mrs. Thrall, Mrs. Highlands, Mrs. Martha James, Mr. Frank Gass, and Mr. O'Harra. Others were distributed. The guests were received by Misses Mayme Johnson and Huda Smith. A luncheon was served after the card games. The amount realized from the sale of tickets was about $135. The young women are arranging to give a May dance for which a large number of invitations will be issued. The officers and members of the auxiliary are President, Miss Agnes Howe; secretary Miss Mayme Johnson; treasurer, Miss Juda Smith, chairman of ways and means committee, Miss Emily Olcott, director, Mrs. Raymond Munshower. Members.
