The matinee dance given in the Leyman academy under the direction of Prof. Leyman, was a very enjoyable affair. Mr. Percy Deighton furnished the music for danc­ing, which begun at 2 o’clock. Several of the college students who are home to spend their vacation were in attend­ance. Among the guests were: Misses Charlotte Hopkins. Hazel Budd, Sue Hemingray, Elsie Humphries, Mayme Murray, Elsie Dungan, Mary Neal, of Marion; Nelle Kinert, Glenna Tizzard, Hazel Sherritt, Ethel Starr, Louise Thomas, Ruth Winters, Messrs. Harry Hartley, Arthur Kelley, Fred Rose, Fred Lesh, French Jollif, Elltott and Frank Bayless, Cameron Leatherman, David Cusick, Greeley, Fred Preston, Leonard Shick, David and Shields Craig, Milton Thomas and Everett Boor.
