THINGS OF INTEREST TO WOMEN.

The High school students celebrate the Washington anniversary by givin [sic] giving a dancing party in the Layman academy Saturday afternoon. The affair was under the direction of Prof. Leyman. Dancing began at 2 o'clock.Messrs. Deighton and Kimbrough supplied the music for the dance program. Several visitors from out of town were present. The patronesses were Mesdames Leyman, Winningham, Dungan, Greeley and Whitney. The guest were: Misses Hemingray, Conklin, Davis, Clark, Dungan, Budd, Bramwell, Ellis, Hopkins, Humphreys, Knapp, Keener, Kilgore, Shepp, Murray, Nutting, Orr, Pacey, Zimmerman, Sherritt, Starr, Tizzard, Wysor, Whitney, Winters, Thomas, Phinney, Messrs.
