A BOY KILLED.

Gomer Young, the 13-year-old son of William Young, of Grant and Seventh streets, was fatally injured by belt engine No. 1, a short distance west of Macedonia avenue at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Both legs were ground off at the hips. He was taken to the hospital and the physicians sat at 3:30 o'clock that he could live but a few minutes. He said he was riding on the tender when the engineer threw water in his face causing him to jump and slip. He was one of the strikers at the Hemingray glass works.
