DAUGHTERS OF REVOLUTION.

They Gave an Interesting Reception at the

Bell Home.

The first meeting for the year of the Paul Revere chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was held last evening at the beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. William Ball on McCulloch boulevard. The entertainment was in the form of a colonial reception. On the third floor was arranged a series of tableaux. Various members of the society were dressed to represent the wives of ex-presidents. Each presented herself as a living picture and the audience guessed what president's wife she represented. Miss Martha Corbett was the most successful in guessing, and was awarded the prize. To make the guesses harder the pictures were not arranged in order of the administrations of the presidents but were in a hap-hazzard manner. This feature was very interesting. On the floor below the "Colonial Dames held a reception. During this part of the evening Miss Winans gave a short talk about observing October 8, an anniversary of the battle of Saratoga. Master Willie Ball sang a solo. After the program of the evening had been completed colonial refreshments consisting of milk, pumpkin pie, doughnuts and coffee were served.
