McNAUGHTON WON TROPHY

The Last Contests of the Golf Season at

Country Club

The annual golf tournament of the Country club was played yesterday. Owing to the weather there was a small gallery. The contests were close. John McNaughton, R. L. Walker, Robin Hemingray and Fred Lesh having made the best scores in preliminaries, were the contestants in the finals. In the morning McNaughton defeated Lesh in a very close game, and Walker defeated Hemingray. The deciding game between Walker and MeNaughton was played in the afternoon. At the end of eighteen boles the score was tied, making an additional hole necessary. McNaughton won this and thereby the right to hold the club's cup until next year. McNaughton made the nineteen boles in 110 strokes. Walker in 112.
