Bad investment by Wilcoxon given as cause for attempted suicide

Cause of the Attempt.

Friends of Andrew Wilcoxon, who tried to commit suicide, Tuesday evening, say that the attempt probably was caused by a bad investment. Not long ago Mrs. Wilcoxon received $2,000 as life insurance owing to the death of her first husband. This money was invested in the saloon over which Hefferman and Wilcoxen quarreled. The investment has proved a bad one.
