Remembered Operators.

Telephone and Telegraph operators and messengers were remembered yesterday by several of the many firms whom they are constanly [sic] constantly serving. Each one of the twenty-three telephone girls was presented with some handsome gift by Manager Springer. The gifts consisted of handkerchiefs, paper knives and toilet articles. They in turn presented Manager Springer with a handsome gold watch, chain and charm. The young women received bon-bons from J. A. Goddard, Consumers' Paper company, D. T. Haines, American Sheet Steel company, Hemingray Glass company and Mr. Qualin inspector of telephone lines of this district.

The operators of the Western Union Telegraph company were each presented with cigars and the messengers candy by the Consumers' Paper company.
