ROSTER OF GLASS ASSOCIATION.

List of Pressed and Blown Firms

Inside and Out.

The following are the firms in the Glass Association of pressed and blown manufacturers: Beaumont Glass Co.; Bryce Bros. Co.; Bryce, Higbee & Co.; Central Glass Works; Co-Operative Flint Glass Co.; Duncan & Miller Glass Co.; Fostoria Glass Co.; A. H. Heisey & Co.; Hemingray Glass Co.; Jefferson Glass Co.; Kokomo Glass Manufacturing Co.; Marietta Glass Co.; National Glass Co.; Seneca Glass Co.; Tarentum Glass Co.; United States Glass Co.; and Westmoreland Specialty Co.

The Republic Glass Co., of Clarksburg, W. Va., has also been a member, but it recently sold out to the Atlas Glass & Metal Co., and it is not known whether the new company will renew the membership The plant of the Republic Glass Co. produces jellies, common tumblers and nappies, and as it has lately doubled its capacity and uses machinery for manufacturing it would be quite a competitor in the above lines if the new company decides to go independent.

The Rochester Glass Co., of which H. C. Fry is the head, has applied for admission to membership in the Glass Association, but its plant will hardly be ready for operation before the first of January.

The National Glass Co., which is given in the above list, will not be a member of the Glass Association after January 1st, but the indications are very favorable for them having a harmony agreement on prices.

The firms outside the Glass Association who are entitled to membership are: Federal Glass Co.; Morgantown Glass Co.; New Martinsville Glass Co.; Huntington Tumbler Co.; Novelty Glass Works; and the National Glass Works, Bellaire, O.

It is not known whether the Imperial Glass Co., of Bellaire, O., will be independent or not. It is the new company organized by Capt. Ed Muhleman, which will have four large furnaces, the largest plant of its kind in the trade. But it will hardly be ready for operation before next summer. The company will not doubt cater to the smaller dealer and follow the custom of the Crystal Glass Co., Bridgeport, when Capt. Muhleman was at its head.
