HEMINGRAY EMPLOYES TO HAVE SERVICE FLAG The employes of the Hemingray Glass company will raise and dedicate a service flag Saturday noon at the factory on Macedonia in honor of the former employes of the company who are now in the service of Uncle Sam. TTwenty-five [sic] Twenty-five men who were formerly employed in this plant are now serving their country, with the exception gold star has been placed in the flag in honor of this man, Newton Moppin, former night foreman of the plant, who died last March at Fort Moultrie, S. C. The names of these men will be read at the services tomorrow. A musical and speaking program has been arranged. Mrs. Alfred Kilgore and the Garrett’s Boys’ band will furnish the music for the occasion. The address will be made by the Rev. Reno Tacoma. |
