HEMINGRAY COMPANY TO OPEN TUESDAY Production of Beer Bottles to Start.
The Hemingray Glass Company which has on hands contracts for 1,000 carloads of beer bottles, will go into full production Tuesday, somewhat earlier than the company had anticipated being able to get the factory going, and expects to be begin making shipments Wednesday. The company has orders on hand that will keep the factory operating at top production several months and that will give employment to some 200 persons. The company will continue to manufacture glass insulators for telegraph and telephone wires. The management of the Warner Gear Company is calling all former employes of its No. 3 plant, situated west of Muncie on Yorktown Road, to report for duty Wednesday morning. From 200 to 250 men will be given their old jobs back in this factory. |
