Officer Ill 10 Days.

 

Michael J. Clarke, 59, former su­perintendent at the Hemingray Glass Company, died at 11:10 a. m. Friday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Joseph M. O'Day, 1005 East Willard St. He was stricken 10 days ago.

Mr. Clarke was widely known in the glass industry. He was born in Elm Grove, Wheeling, W. Va., and in 1898 came to Muncie to become associated with the Ball Brothers Glass Company.

He was a member of the St. Law­rence Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus Lodge.

Surviving besides the sister are three brothers, John H. Clarke of Pittsburgh, William P. Clarke of To­ledo, and Cornelius R. Clarke of Niles, Ohio. The body was removed to Meeks Mortuary pending comple­tion of funeral arrangements.
