ZIMMERMAN NAMED TO HIGHER POSITION Muncie Man Named General Manager of Industrial Products Division of Owens-Illinois.
A bulletin issued by Harold Boeschenstein, vice-president and general manager of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company, from the general offices of the company in Toledo, Ohio, today, announces the appointment of W. Paul Zimmerman, Muncie, to be general manager of the Industrial and Structural Products Division, a subsidiary corporation of Owens-Illinois Company.
Mr. Zimmerman will assume his new duties Jan. 1. He is now factory manager of the same division. Previous to his being given his present position, he was manager of the Hemingray Division of the Owens-Illinois, and before it was bought by Owens-Illinois several years ago Mr. Zimmerman long had been an officer of the Hemingray Glass Company. The Industrial and Structural Products Division now comprises the factories in Newark, Ohio, and Muncie. It is understood it probably will be expanded. The Muncie factory manufactures glass block, insulators for telegraph and telephone poles and certain articles of pressed glassware. The Newark plant makes all forms of fiber glass, including house insulation and industrial power insulation materials. Mr. Zimmerman’s office will be in Toledo hereafter but for the present he and his family will continue to make their home in Muncie. |
