Big Muncie Jar Shipments.

 

MUNCIE, IND., Jan. 25 — Ball Bros. are shipping on an average of 80 car loads of jars per day.

Jess O'Neil, who was stricken with a paralytic stroke many weeks ago, is still out of work ans slowly improving. L. U. No. 23 at its last regular meeting decided to give a skating carnival for his benefit, when a handsome sum is expected to be realized.

The prospects of another large gas producer tank in the insulator department of the Hemingray's this summer seems to be an assured fact.

Five shops were put on fruit jars at Hemingray's on Monday, January 30.

Ben Smith, of the insulator department, who has been on the sick list after undergoing a very painful operation at the hospital, is improving. — Robert Kerr, formerly of Macbeth, Evans, & Co., and Charles Willcoxen, are gathering on the castor place shops at Hemingray's.

Mrs. Belle J. Grant, national secretary of the Women's International Union Label League, with State Organizer Mrs. Anna B. Fields, of Elwood, will go to Fairmount tomorrow where an open meeting of the central body will be held for the purpose of organizing a Women's Union Label League. — BRUDY.
