A Strike.

The "attending boys," at the Hemingray Glass Works, yesterday, got on a rampage, and struck for higher wages. As the establishment pays them an amount equal to that paid by any works east of the mountains, and a larger sum than any other similar factory west of the mountains, the proprietors refused to succumb. The young strikers, after being dismissed, seemed disposed to indulge in some riotous conduct, but were quickly quelled into submission by the presence of a few policemen. Most of the young reprobates repented of their conduct and reapplied for employment — a most sensible move on their part. We know of no establishment in this part of the country more liberal in its treatment of employes than the one above mentioned.
