BLUMENSTIEL-RICHARDSON NUPTIALS

At the residence, on West Third street, of Captain Isaiah W. Richardson, of the Hemingray Glass Works, was a scene of vast enjoyment, the occasion being the marriage of his eldest daughter, Miss Ida, a young lady of rare excellence and intelligence, and Mr. John M. Blumenstiel of the firm of Blumensteil [sic] Blumenstiel & Richardson, The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Felix, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in the presence of a number of intimate friends. There was no attempt at show or ostentation, but everything connected with the happy affair was tastefully and gracefully arranged and effected. The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of wine-colored silk, and looked the embodiment of loveliness.

Shortly after the performance of the ceremony the guests were invited to an appetizing repast, where everything that could be provided that was toothsome and delicious was spread in bounteous profusion. Among the many bridal gifts, we noticed the following: Elegant set of furniture and ornamental lamp, Mr. and Mrs. Richardson; floral gifts, Miss Emma Richardson; silver cake basket, Robert Hemingray; case of silver teaspoons, Robert Hemingray sr.; frosted glass and silver salt cellars, Miss Clara B. Croninger; silver castors, R. G. Hemingray; silver and glass pickle stand, Miss Clara Schweiber; silver card receiver. Mamie Reed and J. B. Reed; cologne bottles, and cigar stand, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Chesline; silver molasses pitcher, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ashworth; clock, Mr. David Richardson; set of embroidered mats, Miss Mattie Reed; embroidered pin-cushion, Miss Mollie E. Blewett; brush and comb, Harry H. Blumenstiel, and a number of others. The bride and groom will forego the usual wedding trip, and like sensible young people enjoy their honeymoon at home in the midst of their relatives and friends.
