— Mr. Ira Coffin, the amiable builder at the Hemingray Glass Works, was yesterday presented with a splendid breastpin, consisting of an amethyst surrounded by a fringe work of eighteen brilliants. While passing it through a crowd of interested admirers, some scamp punched the amethyst from its central place and pocketed the diamonds. Ira retired to his home a disgusted and disappointed man. He is glad that Christmas comes but once a year.
