NOTES ON 'CHANGE.

Dan Hemingray was on the floor yesterday, having returned from Washington. He was warmly greeted by the members, with whom is unusually popular. Mr. Hemingray had with him yesterday a huge hickory cane that in weight was large enough to engage a small boy to carry. One of the peculiar features of said stick was, too, that it had a crooked handle and this handle in the hands of Mr. Hemingray played an amusing part of the proceedings early in the day. He would slyly walk up to some engaged friend and unnoticed by the latter encircle his leg with the crook of the handle and then quickly draw the party toward him. If the party so imprisoned objected to such treatment woe be to him, as he would be carried all about the floor. After having much sport in this manner, a large number entering into the game, shinny was opened up and a hilarious time there was over near the grain corner for several moments.
