— "The sweetest story ever told" was sweetly solemnized Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Mary E. Swasey and Mr. Samuel K. Long plighted their troth to each other at the Hemingray homestead, in reply to the ritual of the bride's uncle, Rev. Dr. Felix, of Lexington, Ky. The drawing rooms were profusely decorated with handsome palms, ferns, rubber plants and many other varieties of tropical growth furnished from the conservatory of the bride's uncle Mr. Bradford Shinkle. The favorite color of decoration in the dining room was pink and the effect beautifully carried out. At the bridal table were seated, besides the bride and groom, Miss Llewellyn Hemingray, Mr. Clifford Shinkle, Miss Mary Keck, Mr. Merrill Hubbard. Miss Ella Burke, Misses Alma and Laura Hubbard, Mr. Edgar Evans. Among the guests were Mrs. Addie Long, mother of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Shinkle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hemingray, Sr., Miss Nancy Kennedy, Miss Krout, Captain and Mrs. Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hemingray, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hemingray, of Muncie, Ind.; Mrs. Ralph Gray, Mrs. McGlasson, Miss Alice McGlasson, Mr. and Mrs. Burke, Mr. Peter Murphy, of Hamilton, O.; Miss Caroline Hemingray, Miss Anna Bradford, Miss Titus, Rev. Dr. Felix, of Lexington; Bradford Shinkle, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Long left the same evening for New York, and will travel extensively in the East before returning home.
