The opalescent glass works, though saying nothing for many months, continues bounding along at the same old-time gait, turning out a superior quality of goods and as many as in its palmiest days. In fact, there never has been a period in its history when they were operating more successfully than at the present time. Thirty-four operatives are on the payroll. Besides an immense quantity of opalescent glass, the factory is turning out 6,000 insulators every day in the year. All their goods are marketed as fast as made and command the highest prices. They have a contract with the Edison Electric Company to supply the insulators used by them, the Edison company using nothing but the Kokomo make of insulators. The opalescent works is a bonanza to its owners and as a money maker is not surpassed by any other manufactory in Kokomo.
