A Telephone Consolidation.
All the New England telephone exchanges, including those owned by Lowell people and the Boston exchange, which is owned by the American Bell Telephone company, are to be consolidated into one company to be called the New England Telephone company. The new company will be very largely owned by the American Bell Telephone company.
It was stated yesterday morning by an officer in this city of the Southern New England Telephone company that it might also consolidate with the new company, although no arrangements had yet been made.
